"Off The Page and Onto The Plate" is an illustrated feature article on heraldic porcelain and Hugh Macpherson. It is to be published in the November 2013 edition of the Journal of the Society of Heraldic Arts, The Heraldic Craftsman. In the article Hugh describes his involvement with heraldic porcelain and charts the progress of the enterprise from its accidental beginnings in his shop in Chelsea, through to the complex requirements of creating a unique heraldic dinner service using seven different armorial designs. www.heraldic-arts.com

Unique Armiger's Dinner Service

Heraldic Porcelain of London is pleased to announce the completion of a unique heraldic dinner service. Commissioned by a distinguished North American armiger, the armorial bearings were designed by Tim Duke, Chester Herald at the College of Arms in London and painted by the noted heraldic painter Tim Noad.
The dinner service displays seven different combinations of the full heraldic achievement, including the shield and motto, badges and emblems in different combinations. The detail and complexity of this service is highly unusual, and portrays heraldic creativity and artistry at its best.
The result is one of the most interesting heraldic ensembles committed to fine porcelain for many years.
